May is here and that only means one thing…SOUR CHERRY ‘CON! Our annual weekend celebration for free comic book day is THIS WEEKEND!!! On Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 we will be hosting several events that we are super excited about – so please take a look and hopefully you will get excited, too.
Saturday, May 3rd @ 12-3pm: Figure Drawing with @oshetart! RSVP on Eventbrite if you can. Sliding scale donations appreciated. NOTAFLOF
Saturday, May 3rd @ 4-6pm: Afternoon Tea & Tarot with Maya Songbird. Our resident witch is back with a special afternoon tea & tarot party. Tickets are sliding scale $15-30 and can be purchased day-of, and include a tarot reading and candle color consultation. Tea and snacks available.
Sunday, May 4th @ 2-6pm: ARTIST ALLEY! We have some incredible artistic talent from all over the Bay Area coming in to our shop to set up and sell their wares – including the cover artist for the Poison Ivy series, Jessica Fong! She will be selling prints and other art as well as signing your Poison Ivy covers for $5 apiece, sales for which will be donated to MECA for Peace.
Wednesday, May 7 @ 6-7:30pm: Queer Craft/DIY Nite! Bring your own crafts. Come and craft with us! RSVP on Eventbrite to save your spot.
Monday, May 12 @ 6:30pm: Babes Who Book! Attendees get 10% off books/graphic novels! Tell us about what you’re reading, or what you’re excited about reading.. ! The second meeting of the month will be Monday, May 26th at 6:30pm.
Wednesday, May 14 @ 6:00pm: Beads 4 Pal! Join us in the shop to make beaded accessories to sell in order to raise funds for Palestinian families. Co-hosted with SF Artists 4 Palestine. Materials will be available!
