Kind of hard to believe it’s already 2024… If we’re being honest here, 2023 has been pretty rough. We have heard from many friends and patrons that it has not been kind. And it has not spared us, either. However, onward we persist… so with that said, here’s January’s lineup! Most of these have been on Eventbrite for a minute, so be sure to check that for the events that have a required RSVP.
Thursday, Jan. 4 @ 6PM: Queer Crafting / DIY Night! Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP on Eventbrite.
Monday, Jan. 8 @ 6:30PM: Babes Who Book! Our not-so-book-club book club. Meets twice a month, the second and fourth Monday.
Wednesday, Jan. 10 @ 6PM: Mission Mini Comix! Collaborative zine-making group. RSVP on Eventbrite.
Saturday, Jan. 13 from 1-4PM: Letter Writing with Flying Over Walls, Bay Area. They will be joining us from 1-4pm so come on down and write a birthday card to one of our queer/trans incarcerated comrades! (supplies provided) – be sure to also check out the graphic novels, zines, and books from A.B.O Comix! ABO Comix is a publisher that works with incarcerated queer/trans comrades and produces their art, writings, etc – all profits go to supporting the prisoners. Read more here.
Wednesday, Jan. 17 @ 6PM: Writing Workshop with debut author of “The Queer Girl is Going to Be Okay” Dale Walls. Please RSVP on Eventbrite as space is limited. Dale Walls will also be signing copies of their book!
