Happy new year for those who celebrate!
I wanted to get this schedule out a little early because we have some changes – the normal first Sunday workshop at Sprocket is pushed back a week again due to falling on New Year’s Day so please note these changes to the regular programming. Probably will be normal again in February. Thanks for your patience!
Thurs., Jan. 5 at 6:00 pm: Sewing Party! Bring your own projects~
Saturday, Jan. 7 at 6:30 pm: Powerpuff Poetry Workshop! (writing exercises, timed writing, optional sharing)
Sunday, Jan. 8 at 7:00 pm: All-Genre Writing Workshop at Silver Sprocket, 1018 Valencia St.
Tues., Jan. 10 at 6:30 pm: Creative Non-Fiction Workshop (brainstorming exercises, timed writing)
Sat., Jan. 14 from 1-4 pm: Black & Pink Letter Writing! The lovely folks from B&P Bay Area Chapter: Flying Over Walls will be joining us from 1-5pm so come on down and write a birthday card to one of our queer/trans incarcerated comrades! (supplies provided) – be sure to also check out the graphic novels, zines, and books from A.B.O Comix! ABO Comix is a publisher that works with incarcerated queer/trans comrades and produces their art, writings, etc – all profits go to supporting the prisoners. Read more here.
Weds., Jan. 18 at 6:00 pm: SURREALIST ZINES~ Make a zine! Make surrealist art! Please RSVP on Eventbrite as spaces are LIMITED. Some supplies included, but this is a free event so please consider bringing your own magazines, newspaper clippings, etc.
Weds., Jan. 25 at 6:30 pm: (18+) Erotic Writing Workshop with Natalie Sierra – this is an amazing workshop that comes highly recommended by the many people who have attended in past months. Please RSVP on Eventbrite.
