Saturday, Nov. 4 @ 2:30PM: BIMBO BINGO! We will be hosting another wrestling watch with FULL QUEER wrestling group! And there will be bingo! And prizes!
Saturday, Nov. 11 from 1-4PM: Letter Writing with Flying Over Walls, Bay Area. They will be joining us from 1-4pm so come on down and write a birthday card to one of our queer/trans incarcerated comrades! (supplies provided) – be sure to also check out the graphic novels, zines, and books from A.B.O Comix! ABO Comix is a publisher that works with incarcerated queer/trans comrades and produces their art, writings, etc – all profits go to supporting the prisoners. Read more here.
Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 6-8PM: Mission Mini Comix! MMC is a collaborative zine-making group. If you like zines, would like to contribute, or just want a space to hang out and draw/be creative with other artists, then come on down!
Monday, Nov. 20 from 6-8PM: Queer Writer’s Workshop with SweeneyLens. This loosely structured writing group is a great place to share your ideas, write a little, and talk about your work. Please sign up on Eventbrite (free) Attendees get 15% off any in-store purchases!
Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 5-7PM: WE WON’T BACK DOWN – a NEW comics for choice anthology from Last Gasp Publishing, edited (and contributed to) by famed illustrator and writer, Trina Robbins, who will be joining us this evening for a book signing and celebration of this release!
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24 – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 26: FANEXPO! The store will be closing early Friday at 5PM and then open regular hours on the weekend, but we will also have a presence at the San Francisco Fan Expo! With special appearances by all four hobbits, Mark Hamill and soooo many more celebrities from your favorites shows (James Marsters, Rose McGowan & Holly Marie Combs, the entire My Hero Academia voice cast AND the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!?!?) – this is not one to miss!
